Following the success of the HOW engraving Sandon worked closely with industry partners and designed a rotary screen equivalent for Pantone colours. The HOC engraving is a modified version of the HOW format which better suits the recommended inks. It provides rotary-screen quality printing on a flexographic press. It far outperforms the 30° methods of of engraving and is designed to deal with heavy ink deposits without needing to use screen heads or reduce presses speeds and without backing white or flooding. As with the HOW engraving this product gives the benefits of screen quality printing but without the cost of reducing press speeds or purchasing expensive screen heads.
